According to 2011-12 Migration Programme report, India has become Australia's largest source of permanent migrants surging ahead of China and Britain. One of the challenges in writing about the South Asian diaspora in Australia is the nature of the beast: the multifarious migration and entry points into Australia range from colonial indentured workers to political asylum seekers to transnational marriages to students and high–end professionals. How did their journeys and experiences generate bridges that have influenced the historical, cultural, social and academic perceptions of the ever–changing continents? It is hoped that this critical anthology will help present a dynamic community in transit and showcase the achievements of the South Asian diaspora in Australia during the last decade. The South Asian diaspora has not only made a significant impact on Australia's multiculutural landscape but also furthered South Asian–Australian engagement moving beyond clichés of the curry and cricket.</Text></TextContent></CollateralDetail><PublishingDetail><Imprint><Publisher><PublishingRole>01</PublishingRole><PublisherName>Readworthy Press Corporation</PublisherName></Publisher></Imprint><CountryOfPublication>IN</CountryOfPublication><PublishingStatus>04</PublishingStatus><PublishingDate><PublishingDateRole>01</PublishingDateRole><Date dateformat="00">20130101</Date></PublishingDate></PublishingDetail><ProductSupply><SupplyDetail><Supplier><SupplierRole>01</SupplierRole><SupplierName>Shhalaj Publishing House</SupplierName></Supplier><ProductAvailability>20</ProductAvailability><Price><PriceType>02</PriceType><PriceAmount>1395.00</PriceAmount><CurrencyCode>INR</CurrencyCode><Territory><RegionsIncluded>WORLD</RegionsIncluded></Territory></Price></SupplyDetail></ProductSupply></Product>
