Modern Indian history is incomplete without Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. His vision, his work, and his principles were highly remarkable in Independent India. He rose to the leadership of the Indian National Congress, in which capacity he organised the party for elections in 1934 and 1937 even as he continued to promote the Quit India Movement. As the first Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of India, Patel organised relief efforts for refugees fleeing from Punjab and Delhi and worked to restore peace across the nation. He led the task of forging a united India, successfully integrating into the newly independent nation those British colonial provinces that had been “allocated” to India. Besides those provinces that had been under direct British rule, approximately 565 self-governing princely states had been released from British suzerainty by the Indian Independence Act of 1947. This book is an account of Vallabhbhai Patel’s contribution to the freedom struggle of India and Indian National Congress.</Text></TextContent></CollateralDetail><PublishingDetail><Imprint><Publisher><PublishingRole>01</PublishingRole></Publisher></Imprint><CountryOfPublication>IN</CountryOfPublication><PublishingStatus>04</PublishingStatus><PublishingDate><PublishingDateRole>01</PublishingDateRole><Date dateformat="00">20180101</Date></PublishingDate></PublishingDetail><ProductSupply><SupplyDetail><Supplier><SupplierRole>01</SupplierRole><SupplierName>Shhalaj Publishing House</SupplierName></Supplier><ProductAvailability>20</ProductAvailability><Price><PriceType>02</PriceType><PriceAmount>1495.00</PriceAmount><CurrencyCode>INR</CurrencyCode><Territory><RegionsIncluded>WORLD</RegionsIncluded></Territory></Price></SupplyDetail></ProductSupply></Product>
