About the Book

Though, foreign direct investment is the firm level phenomenon, a little research has gone in investigating impact of FDIs at the micro level. Most of the literature is dedicated to investigate the impact of FDIs at the macro level. This book attempts to investigate the firm level impact of FDIs in the Indian automobile industry. The book compares a set of Indian automobile companies with FDIs to another set without FDIs on two parameters: DuPont analysis and Total Factor Productivity to measure the impact of FDIs at the firm level.
