This Refund, Returns & Replacement Policy applies to physical printed books supplied directly by Shhalaj Publishing House through its websites and authorised sales channels.
Where books are purchased through third-party retailers, marketplaces, distributors, booksellers, or external platforms, the refund, return, replacement, cancellation, shipping, and payment policies of the relevant seller shall apply.
Shhalaj Publishing House is not responsible for the policies, procedures, or decisions of third-party sellers.
Returns or replacements may be accepted only in the following circumstances:
Customers may be required to provide photographs, packaging details, order information, and other supporting evidence necessary to evaluate the claim.
Returns, replacements, or refunds are generally not available for:
Orders that have not yet been dispatched to a courier may be cancelled by the customer directly through the "My Orders" section of their account. Cancelling an order this way results in an automatic, full refund of the amount paid, with no deductions - see the Order Cancellation Policy for full detail.
Once an order has been dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled online. Customers may request cancellation through "My Orders" or by contacting support@shhalaj.com, and any resulting refund will be considered in accordance with this Refund, Returns & Replacement Policy at the discretion of Shhalaj Publishing House.
If an ordered title becomes unavailable before dispatch, Shhalaj Publishing House may cancel the unavailable item and refund or adjust the corresponding amount paid.
Any Loyalty Points redeemed against the unavailable item may be proportionately restored.
If a shipment is returned because of refusal to accept delivery, incorrect or incomplete address information, non-availability of the recipient, failure to receive delivery, or any other customer-related reason, the customer may choose either re-dispatch or refund where applicable.
Any refund may be subject to deduction of Order Processing, Packing & Forwarding Charges, courier charges already incurred, and other non-recoverable expenses.
Where a refund is approved, it may be processed through the original payment method or another reasonable method determined by Shhalaj Publishing House.
Refund processing times may vary depending upon payment providers, banking systems, financial institutions, and technical systems.
Where a replacement request is approved, Shhalaj Publishing House may provide a replacement copy of the affected book or otherwise resolve the issue in a reasonable manner.
Replacement shipments initiated by Shhalaj Publishing House due to approved claims shall normally be supplied without additional charges to the customer.
eBooks and other digital products purchased through book.shhalaj.com are not eligible for return, refund, or cancellation once purchased. Because a digital product is delivered instantly as access to the reader's account, this differs from a physical book, which can be returned unopened - once an eBook purchase is complete, it cannot be "returned." This applies regardless of whether the eBook has actually been opened or read.
If Shhalaj Publishing House offers other digital products (online services, customised products, print-on-demand products, special-order items, or similar) in the future, separate terms may apply.
Shhalaj Publishing House reserves the right to investigate claims and determine eligibility for refunds, returns, replacements, cancellations, adjustments, or other remedies.
All decisions relating to such matters shall be final.
This Refund, Returns & Replacement Policy may be amended, revised, suspended, or replaced from time to time.
