About the Book

The present study has been divided into nine chapters. The first chapter depicts the regional setting, physical basis of its geo-economic personality. The second chapter discusses the concept of rural development and various developmental programmes. Third chapter is considered to gauge the transformation of sample villages. Chapter four is devoted to study various aspects of socio-economic transformation. The fifth chapter explains the transformation of agricultural environment.
